Dysmenorrhoea, threatened or habitual abortion, endometriosis and adjunct to oestrogen replacement therapy. This medication is a progestogen hormone.


The recommended dose is 10mg twice daily from 5th to 25th day of cycle. DUB- 10mg twice daily with oestrogen for 5-7 days. Endometriosis-10mg 2-3 times a day from 5-25 day of cycle. PMS- 10mg twice a day from 10-26 day of cycle.

This drug is prescribed for endometriosis, miscarriage, menstrual disorders, infertility, and premenstrual syndrome.Amenorrhoea, Dysfunctional uterine bleeding, Dysmenorrhoea, Endometriosis, Habitual abortion, Infertility, Infertility or irregular cycles, Premenstural syndrome.


If you have an allergy to this drug, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.


Possibly unsafe: Evidence from studies in breastfeeding women show that there is a definite risk of side effects to the breastfed infants. However, use of the drug in breastfeeding women is acceptable in spite of the risk to the infants, if the drug is needed in a life-threatening situation or for a serious disease for which safer drugs cannot be used or are ineffective. Patients should follow the advice of the doctor regarding its use.
