It helps during a stress test of the heart by improving blood flow to the heart. Recommendation: The recommended doses is 3.5 mg as rapid intravenous bolus, second dose is repeated after 2 mts if first dose fails to abort the attack of PSVT. It is given 6 mg rapidly intravenously, If attack still persists, give third dose of 12 mg rapidly intravenously Treating certain types of irregular heartbeat.
